The Huntsville Facility has produced in excess of 5500 units of the ICE Box over the past three years for the U.S. Army TMDE Program Manager at Redstone Arsenal, AL. This production required machining, alodining, painting, loading, and assembling electronic Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) (five per unit), conformal coating, producing wire harnesses, integrating the hardware and electronic assemblies, testing each unit, configuration management control. All of these processes were accomplished within the guidelines of ISO 9001 requirements.
This contract was originally awarded with a requirement for the production of 100 units per month beginning 210 days after issuance of the first delivery order. Following the receipt of components necessary for the initial production, the production began flowing smoothly and continued on schedule through the several delivery orders. The customer then requested an increase in production to 200 units per month or as much as possible. We then began producing 200 units per month and continued to completion. The contract was completed one year earlier than required.
